Direct hire: what does this mean for you?
A family wants to hire you directly. Here is how sitr. handles this and what we expect from you.
It is a real compliment when a family loves working with you so much that they want to hire you directly. At the same time, sitr. has invested in your screening, training, and placement. That is why we have created a transparent way to handle this properly, for everyone involved. Please read this carefully so you know exactly where you stand.
A direct hire means that a family who connected with you through sitr. wants to arrange childcare with you directly, outside of the sitr. platform. The family pays sitr. a one-time fee to cover the investment sitr. has made in your screening, training, and placement.
The direct arrangement is only officially permitted once sitr. has received that fee.
Before a direct hire can take place, you first work with the family for one month through the sitr. platform. This gives both of you the chance to get to know each other properly and to see if the match feels right.
At the end of that month, there is a short evaluation. If both you and the family are happy to continue, the direct hire process can officially begin.
sitr. invests in you: the screening, First Aid training, guidance, and finding great families. The direct hire policy ensures this is handled fairly, so sitr. can keep investing in the team, in new clients, and in your future bookings.
We are transparent about this with both the family and with you. No surprises down the line.
Always send a message if you are not sure whether something is allowed or not. That is always better than dealing with problems later. You can reach sitr. via WhatsApp or at meetsitr@gmail.com.
