You reach out and create your account

Send us a message via WhatsApp or the contact form, and register for free in our booking platform. Your profile holds your family's details and makes it easy to place booking requests from day one.

Intro call with a team member (approx. 15 min)

We hop on a short video call to go over your wishes, your child's routine, and anything that matters to you. This is how we make sure we find the right match, not just any match.

We find your sitter or nanny

Based on the call, we select two or three suitable candidates from our team and share their profiles with you.

Meet and greet

Before your Membership officially starts, you and your child meet the sitter in person. That way, the first actual booking is never the first time they have ever met.

Your Membership starts

The Membership fee for the first 3 months is paid upfront (XCG 150). From there, all bookings run through our platform at your discounted Member rate. Simple as that.

Looking for a dedicated nanny, not a Membership?

The sitr. Membership is designed for parents who want ongoing access to our full network, backup support, and the flexibility to book across different sitters and occasions. But we understand that some families are simply looking for one person to become a regular, dedicated part of their household.

If that is you — and you are contacting sitr. specifically to find and place a sitter or nanny rather than to use our ongoing service — we can still help. In that case, a one-time direct hire fee applies in place of a Membership. This reflects the work we have done: the screening, First Aid training, onboarding, and matching process that made this connection possible. Once a sitter moves into a direct arrangement, they are no longer available to other sitr. families in the same capacity, which is a real cost to the network we have built. The direct hire fee makes that exchange fair and transparent for everyone.

What is the difference between a babysitter and a nanny? +
A babysitter provides flexible, shorter-term childcare — perfect for evenings out, a few hours of work, or recurring bookings a few times a week. A nanny is a more consistent presence in your child's daily life, involved in routines, drop-offs, meals, and longer-term care. Both are available through the sitr. Membership. Can I cancel after 3 months? +
Yes. After the initial 3-month period, you can cancel with 30 days notice. No awkward conversations, no penalties. Just let us know via WhatsApp or email.
What does the XCG 75 onboarding fee cover? +
It covers an intro video call with a team member (approx. 15 min), the time we spend identifying suitable sitters from our team, and the facilitated meet and greet before your Membership starts. It is a real service, not an admin cost.
What if my sitter is not available? +
We actively work to find a replacement from our network. We cannot always guarantee availability, but Members get priority in our backup process and you will always hear from us quickly.
Can I book different types of care under one Membership? +
Yes. Your discounted rate applies across regular babysitting, nanny bookings, and event childcare — including weddings, birthday parties, and major island events like Fuikday and Curaçao North Sea Jazz. Same Membership, same perks.
We are tourists — can we still get a Membership? +
If you are staying in Curaçao for at least 3 months, absolutely. We regularly work with families who are on the island longer-term — from expats to remote workers to extended holiday stays. Reach out and we will figure out the best setup for you.
Is the Membership worth it if I book infrequently? +
Honestly? If you are booking less than 4 times a month, the numbers may not add up to a big saving right away. The Membership is designed for parents who need regular, consistent care. If you are not there yet, our standard booking rates work great and you can always upgrade later.
What is the difference between a Membership and a direct hire? +
A Membership gives you access to our full network, backup support, priority booking, and discounted rates across different sitters and occasions, on an ongoing basis. A direct hire is a one-time arrangement for families who want to place a specific sitter or nanny into their household directly, without using our platform going forward.
